PORTFOLIO TRANSFERS OF HEALTH ASSETS
How it started

Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust needed Estate Strategy options to deliver a holistic approach to community health and care, to consolidate services, and to meet the demand for clinical consultation space from a growing population.

What we did

We delivered innovative ways to enable the Trust’s Growth Strategy.
We developed a project plan, informed on strategy, and formulated the business case to
enable the Trust to best engage in the transfers of three assets totalling circa 10,000 sqm (107,000 sq ft) from the ownership of NHS Property Services. We oversaw legal and technical due diligence, developed a 10-year financial assessment, advised at all points of internal governance, and undertook risk management arrangements.

How it ended

Key outcomes from the transfer include:

-
Boosts the Trust financial positionï‚·
