SALE OF DEMENTIA CARE HOME FOR LOCAL AUTHORITY
How it started
2009/10 purpose-built property with 44 single ensuite rooms. Owned and operated by The Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, the strategic decision was taken by the Council to transfer Amy Woodgate House with a structured and detailed marketing campaign process to obtain a purchaser that would benefit the home’s residents, staff and local community of the Borough. High profile locally and politically sensitive transaction.
What we did
Formulated the Transformation strategy, internal governance, business case development,
marketing of assets and assessment of best bids, resulting in a long-term strategic partnership with a national care home operator. Delivered best value while prioritising the safeguarding of residents' and employees' needs. Undersaw all legal and technical due diligence.
How it ended
Established a long-term strategic partnership with a national care home operator. Transacted at above valuation, on time with an overage and claw-back facility to protect future value for the client.
